In a private community in Benton Harbor, MI, uneven and cracked concrete paths had become a serious safety concern, creating multiple tripping hazards for residents. Our team stepped in with a durable solution: PolyLevel® concrete leveling to lift the sunken slabs and NexusPro® sealant to fill and protect the cracks from worsening. The result? Smooth, even paths that are safe and protected from future damage, ensuring years of use.
This home, built on sandy soil, showed significant foundation concerns, including a cracking basement window and deteriorating block joints near the bottom. With both an addition featuring a block foundation and an original stone Michigan basement, the customer was understandably worried about the stability of their home.
Ayers thoroughly inspected all joints, joists, beams, and footers, then reinforced the foundation and repaired the deteriorating joints. We also applied a clean coating to the basement walls, enhancing the structure’s integrity. Now, with a stable and secure foundation, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their home is safe and sound.
Our customer had a cold, damp, and moldy crawl space that was making his house just as cold. After installing the CleanSpace vapor barrier system, we installed SilverGlo insulation panels, which not only insulate the crawl space, but are mold and moisture resistant.
A customer in Stevensville, Michigan called about installing an egress window. The previous window was getting old, worn out and need of an upgrade. Our Egress windows provide a cleaner looking window, while also making the home more energy-efficient. This solution will last for years to come.
This customer had a wall in his basement that was starting to lean inward. The block foundation walls had multiple stair-step cracks on the outside that were sure signs of wall failure.
To stabilize the wall we used the effective carbon armor system. Specialized carbon fiber straps were adhered to the wall with a strong epoxy resin. Once applied, the system was secured into place with steel brackets and the wall was immediately stabilized. These straps also help to shift the wall back to its proper position over time.
