SmartJacks Stabilize Sagging Floors in Roscommon, MI
Half of this home rested on a slab, while the other half was over a crawl space. The side over the crawl space was starting to sink, with floors sagging and support beams not so supportive.
We used SmartJacks and steel beams to stabilize and support the sinking floors, making the home safe and secure. (Note that the after photo is from a closer distance and in different light.)
The Power Brace Aides a Bowing Foundation Wall in Roscommon, MI
Our friends David & Dorothy from Roscommon, MI were battling issues with a wall in their cottage’s basement bowing inward. Near the top of the wall a hairline crack began to form. David & Dorothy became frightened for the future of their wall and called us in search of a permanent and professional solution. We were quick to aid them and devised a tactical solution consisting of six PowerBraces. The PowerBrace system encompasses adjustable steel I-beams that secure to the joists above the foundation wall, offering revolutionary support. The PowerBrace improves the condition of bowing and cracked walls by reversing the forces of nature and allowing them to move back to their original position. Thanks to the solution devised by our team, David & Dorothy’s wall will begin to return to its original position.
Stabilizing Columns on a Front Porch by Lifting the Concrete
This Roscommon couple have been in their home for about 2 years. Since they moved in, the front porch slab had been sinking but the settling was causing the columns to pull away from the ceiling. This was super concerning to the homeowners and they wanted a fix for it. We used a light weight foam called PolyLevel so lift the concrete slab back up to the original level. By leveling out the porch, the columns are stabilized and don't pull away anymore. To seal any cracks we used NexusPro Crack Repair which keeps water and debris from getting under the concrete and degrading it.
