Theresa and Don have been residents to their home for 10 years and since they moved in they have had on and off troubles. They use their crawlspace quite often and the odors are just getting worse. They decided to get everything taken care of with our CleanSpace, SilverGlo, and SaniDry system. Each product helps keep their crawlspace completely dry ridding the area of moisture!
This customer called us because he wanted to level out the uneven sidewalk leading up to his home.
We used the PolyLevel system to raise and level the settled concrete and prevent it from sinking again in the future. This system used lightweight polymers that were injected into drilled holes in the cement slabs. The polymers were dense enough to expand and lift the slab, but light enough to address the weak soil issue that caused the sidewalk to sink in the first place.
This crawl space in Elmira, MI was like most, dirty, dark and a little damp. A damp crawl space is not something that you should wait around and think about fixing. If your crawl space is wet even just a little there is probably mold and mold can cause many problems for your home and even health issues.
Our team of experts decided that our CleanSpace system would be the best solution to fix this crawl space. CleanSpace works to encapsulate the entire crawl space from any outside elements. This product is a very bright white so it works well to brighten up the crawl space while also protecting your home. When it is manufactured, an antimicorobial additive is put in and this makes the material so no mold can grow on the liner. If you need to stop water vapor from entering your home, brighten up your crawl space and get rid of mold we recommend installing our CleanSpace system.
The basement in this home was experiencing a few inches of standing water and their sump pump was constantly running and not able to keep up.
Our team of experts here at Ayers were able to install our WaterGuard system, a TripleSafe sump pump and an IceGuard outlet for the winter months. WaterGuard is a perimeter drainage system installed above the footing and it works to direct all water that comes in through the walls and floor to the sump pump. Our TripleSafe sump pump is top of the line. The sump pump comes with a lid so no water can re-evaporate back into the air, it has an alarm if the water ever get to high, and it has a batter for backup in an emergency and the power goes out.
John and his wife Janine of Gaylord, MI constantly worried about the lack of an emergency escape exit in their finished basement. With their grandkids spending a significant amount of time down there our friends knew they needed to have an egress window put in. The couple gave us a call and expressed their concerns. A short time later we sent a member of our System Design Specialists team to John & Janine’s home.
Our friends welcomed us into their home, and we tailored an egress window design to meet their needs. The Rockwell Premier egress liner has a beautiful stone look and is made of super durable plastic to make it long lasting. This product also allows more natural light to reflect into your basement. Thanks to a team effort John & Janine have tackled their emergency escape worries and have ensured the safety of all guests spending time in their basement.
Smart Jacks work because they are installed on a solid ground unlike your home's foundation and light-weight solutions such as the red post in pictures. We dig beneath your foundation and create a stable ground to fasten the steel posts; then, attach the post to a large square footing and the appropriate support beam on the ceiling. The weight of your home is safely spread onto our solid ground. Now, this home is leveled - free from oddly sloped floors and wall cracks.
Mary had some serious flooding in her basement as well as bowing walls and the threat of foundation problems if the flooding continues. Our team installed an array of systems to dry and stabilize Mary’s basement.
Starting with the SuperPump Sump Pump which is top-rated with a reliable and fast working pump. With a built-in alarm system, homeowners will not have to worry or guess when water levels are too high, the sump pump will sound to let you know. This is aided by the WaterGuard Drain System. The WaterGuard drain will catch any leakage from higher walls or floors before it reaches your basement floor. Other perks are that this system is almost invisible after it is set up and has a quicker and easier installation process than outdoor drains. To round off the waterproofing systems our team installed the IceGuard System which makes sure water is expelled from the house in freezing temperatures. This ensures that homeowners do not have to worry about frozen water blocking the pipes and drainage system.
To help with the bowing walls, our team installed PowerBrace. PowerBrace is a foundation repair system created to secure basement walls in place and eventually straighten them. Often outside pressures can cause your basement walls to crack or tilt, this foundation repair system counteracts these pressures by keeping your basement walls in place. Over time, the system can be tightened to keep walls secured and straighten them over time.
Mary can now rest easy knowing her basement is dry and her walls are being corrected. This relief is instant and will last long into the future for Mary.
Sharon had some cracks in the garage flooring that was close to the back door. Upon going to her home for the inspection, she said that the door was off and she just wanted it to work properly. We used PolyLevel to correct the concrete in the garage and make sure it was all even. By having an even ground, the door is able to work just how it should. PolyLevel is a foam that is injected under the concrete slabs to lift it up. The foam is stable and waterproof so it won't react with the soils or be washed away. The best part is that it cures in about 15 minutes so the wait for it to be usable is not long!
Dan and Theresa are looking to sell their home within the next couple of years and did not want there to be any water issues for the new owners. We used Drainage Matting, CleanSpace, the TripleSafe, and the SaniDry Sedona to keep the crawl space dry.
Drainage Matting was the first thing to be installed since it lays on the crawl space floor. It has dimples in it so that if water gets in, the water will be directed to the sump pump. Next we installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump to provide the homeowner peace of mind that the area is dry. This sump pump has three levels of protection in case of a pump malfunction or power outage. The CleanSpace Crawl Space Vapor Barrier was next. This vapor barrier keeps humidity and water vapor from passing through the foundation. It also keeps out pests and has a additive that prevents mold growth. Lastly, the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. This dehumidifier is small enough in size to fit in crawl spaces but still has a strong motor that blows dry air throughout to keep the space dry. The SaniDry also filters air for mold spores, dust, and other particles!
Sharon had a crack in her garage floor that ran deep nearly reaching the back door. Sharon grew increasingly worried about her back door being affected by the crack. There were also cracks in the driveway that she was growing worried about. Our team came out and installed PolyLevel. PolyLevel injections are designed to fix sinking and cracking concrete slabs by bringing them back to their original level. This is achieved by using polyurethane foam. The foam expands and has a high density in order to raise the concrete. The process is simple and done by drilling small holes into the concrete and then inserting the foam into the holes. The foam is completely waterproof, minimally invasive, and lasts forever. Now Sharon can be assured that her back door will stay intact and her driveway will be level for years to come.
Air Force veteran, Thomas, and his wife Jean have been married for 27 years and just moved into a new home in 2020. They had noticed dampness on a wall in their basement and called Ayers to be sure there was no further damage and to stop the water from coming into their home in the future. After inspection, our crew determined they would need SmartJacks and rim joist insulation. SmartJacks are steel supports that balance the foundation of your basement. They can be adjusted so your home will never shift out of place. This in conjunction with the rim joist insulation will ensure that water does not seep in ever again. Thomas and Jean were grateful that they caught the problem early and brought us in to fix it before major damage was done. They can live in their new home peacefully knowing that they never have to deal with a flooded basement.
