Leaky Basement in Vicksburg, MI

Leaky Basement in Vicksburg, MI Leaky Basement in Vicksburg, MI

Scott H. of Vicksburg, MI, had just bought his home when he realized that his basement was leaky. Water leaking into your basement can cause a myriad of issues. Good thing for Scott, we had a solution.

We installed our WaterGuard French drain system. The WaterGuard drain rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting the water that sneaks into your basement. Once the water is in the drain, it is redirected to the sump pump to be pumped up and out of the home. To make sure that this product does not distract from the living space, we cover it with a fresh layer of cement so that it is barely noticeable but highly effective.

The homeowners had water coming into their basement and they were not sure how or where it was coming from. Something like this has never happened so they needed to get the water out right away.

Our professional team installed a sump pump for the owner, but knew they needed something else to ensure that the home would not get water in it anymore. For added protection the team installed the IceGuard anti freeze system. The IceGuard system attaches to the sump pump discharge line on the outside of the home. The system works by allowing the water to escape even if the pipe freezes or gets blocked for any reason.  Even if the pipe outlet is buried under a foot of ice and snow, the water can escape, allowing your sump pump to keep your basement dry. When the discharge pipe thaws, the water will automatically run along its normal route, and no water will escape from the IceGuard.

Job Stories From Kalamazoo County, MI
Kalamazoo Major Basement Makeover

Betty suffered from the usual wet basement problems most homeowners do. However, Betty's approach to a solution was made easy by Ayers Basement Systems.

In six days, Ayers team of basement waterproofing and finishing professionals were able to totally transform Betty's basement. They added DryTrack within the floor to help with water drainage, along with a LawnScape Downspout Extension and extra discharge line to further help the water drainage. After that, they were able to apply BrightWall paneling system to the walls, making them neat, clean and bright and finally Sandstone Gray Floor Tiles that tied the whole look together.

Betty project was finished on December 6th. She finally has a finished basement that is dry and usable for many years to come.

Eliminated Basement Water Problems in Kalamazoo Home

Homeowners often suffer from too much water in their basement because it has nowhere to go. Scott S. had that problem and realized he could rely on Ayers Basement Systems for a solution.

Ayers installed a TripleSafe basement sump pump with both a WaterGuard and WaterGuard XL drainage system and LawnScape outlet to properly drain the water from the basement when there is a flood or heavy rainfall. They also installed an IceGuard.

The job was completed in two days under project foreman, Skyler. This foolproof system will allow Scott's basement to remain dry, usable, and healthy for many, many years.

Foundation Repair Project in Kalamazoo, MI

Marcos had a failing foundation on his building. The brick foundation was beginning to crack because of settlement. The windows were separating from the foundation, creating air leaks. Altogether, the brick building needed more support and stabilization.

Luckily, Ayers Basement Systems was able to tend to Marcos' needs and install a helical pier and push pier system to help raise his foundation back to its original condition, ultimately stabilizing and providing durable structure for the foundation again.

Ayers' push pier and helical pier assemblies ensure quality stabilization, preventing wall cracks that can allow water to leak in. Marcos now has a structurally sound building with the support it needs to remain stable and intact. The project was also completed in a minimal four day span.

Basement Waterproofing Job in Kalamazoo, MI

In only two days, Ayers Basement Systems was able to transform Carl's damp, musty, and moldy basement into a dry, usable space.

Carl's basement was having trouble draining water properly, and instead it would just build up inside his basement space.

Ayers Basement Systems installed WaterGuard inspection ports, a WaterGuard XL drainage system leading to a LawnScape outlet and a 4" IceGuard all easing the strain on the SuperSump sump pump system. The Supersump is designed to pump the water from the basement out through the drainage lines to the drain in the yard, where the water safely distributes throughout the space provided outside.

Anchoring Walls in Allegan, MI

Larry and Julie began to notice something strange happening in their basement. Cracks that ran from the corner of the basement walls to the center had begun to develop. The couple didn’t know what these stair step cracks meant, but they also didn’t want to take any chances; So, they decided to give Ayers a call.

After an inspection with a qualified sales rep, Larry and Julie found out what was wrong with their basement. The walls had begun to bow inward due to pressure from the outside soil and ground water. The pressure was so great that one of the walls was bowing in over 7 inches.

The team set out to straighten the walls permanently using the wall anchor system. Using wall anchors requires the excavation of soil directly outside of the foundation. Once the team had exterior access to the walls, they installed earth anchors into the undisturbed soil and connected them to the foundation walls using steel rods and interior wall plates. The soil was then refilled, but only after steps were taken to prevent water from leaking through the exterior cracks with sentry seal, a waterproof membrane.

It was a good thing that Larry and Julie chose to call instead of ignoring the warning signs. Their foundation was at risk, but the wall anchor system will keep their walls and the rest of the house upright.

Saving Bowing Walls in Charlotte, MI

In a case of a bad situation that could have easily been much worse, we received a call from David, the homeowner of this basement, about a leaking crack in this Charlotte, MI basement wall. When our system design specialist arrived, he recognized the problem for what it really was – a bowing foundation. Horizontal cracks that run along the length of walls are one of the tell-tale signs of exterior soil pressure forcing walls inwards. And if you couldn’t guess, bowing walls can lead to serious foundation problems, like a collapsed foundation.

To combat the expanding soil and force the walls back to their original position, the system design specialist created a plan that would involve Geo-Lock Anchors pulling the walls out and the PowerBrace system forcing them straight. The two systems working together should restore the walls back to their original position. And thanks to both systems ability to be tightened, the conditions will continue to improve over time.

PolyLevel Saves a Schoolcraft, MI Garage from Sinking

When Deb and Craig saw that their garage floor was settling, they were immediately concerned. Of course, for their sinking garage but more for the home’s foundation that was resting on the soil nearby. Since the house was only 18 years old, they weren’t expecting or prepared for any major foundation issues. Hoping to find out once and for all if their home was slipping away, the couple gave us a call asking for an inspection and quote.

After taking a trip to Schoolcraft, MI and looking around the area, our system design specialist informed Craig and Deb that home was safe. The settling soil hadn’t affected their foundation. Unfortunately, they were still in no position to celebrate. After all, their garage was sinking away and the inspection revealed another problem. The slope of their concrete slabs was pushing water into the garage under the door. Luckily, our PolyLevel system could be used to treat both of these problems with just one installation. Injecting the waterproof foam under the concrete raised the slabs back to their original height and create a much more stable base that won’t sink away again. After slightly adjusting the height of the garage floor to guarantee that water flowed back down towards the outside of Craig and Deb’s garage, the crew installed a trench drain across the opening to the garage. Any ice that melts or rain water that flows down the gutters will be directed into the drain before it has a chance to reach the inside of the garage. With a leveled garage and a drainage system in place, Craig and Deb’s home shouldn’t have to worry about waterproofing or foundation work again.

Drying Out a Damp Kalamazoo, MI Basement

Corey and Yolanda gave us a call because they were tired of their damp basement. The sink and washing machine had been hooked up wrong and were causing all kinds of leakage into their Kalamazoo, MI home. Add in an unreliable sump pump and their problem was the perfect recipe for disaster. Our system design specialist took a trip out to draw up a system that would solve their problems.

First up for the crew was installing a laundry lift station that would pump water out of the sink and washing machine in the correct way. Once the water was pumped into the discharge line, it needed somewhere to go. Since the previous sump pump wasn’t going to cut it, the crew replaced it with our most dependable system, the TripleSafe sump. The TripleSafe has two different backup pumps that will guarantee all of the water in the basement is pumped out, even in conditions like serious flooding or power outages. The water that was being pumped out would be deposited in Corey and Yolanda’s backyard by a LawnScape outlet, giving them a fully protected and dry basement.

Protecting a Galesburg, MI Wood Floor with Sentry Seal

Jerri had recently discovered water damage on the wood flooring underneath her basement window. It was a big blow to her because she had been planning on selling the house soon. Her inspection of the windows didn’t reveal any cracks, so she really had no idea where the water was coming from. Wherever the crack was, it was leaking a lot of water. The water damage spread almost a full 12 feet across. Luckily, there was no standing water to cause more damage, but that did little to calm Jerri’s worries about the leak. With nowhere else to turn and still no closer to discovering the source of the leak, Jerri gave us a call.

After investigating the leakage and wet floor boards for herself, our system design specialist recommended our Sentry Seal System to put a stop to Jerri’s problem. Sentry Seal is an exterior solution perfect for large cracks like these, especially when those cracks can’t be seen on the inside.  The first step for the crew was excavating the soil adjacent to the leaking wall. Once the crew had access to the leaking part of the wall below the windows, they began the installation. They applied sticky waterproof resin to both the Sentry Seal membrane and the wall, and then applied the strands of Sentry Seal over the length of the wall. It was very important that the crew covered every inch of the wall, due to the vulnerability of wood floors. The organic material doesn’t stand up very well to water and can become a breeding ground for mold when wet. Finally, after the entire length of the wall was sealed up, the crew backfilled the soil and cleaned up the area.

We wish Jerri the best of luck with her sale! If you’re struggling to find where your basement wall is leaking, then maybe Sentry Seal is right for you, too. Give us a call to find out!

Foundation and Waterproof Protection in Kalamazoo, MI

Diane had done everything she could think of to waterproof her basement. When the leaks first started to happen, she assumed it was collected rainwater pouring down her roof and falling from the gutters. But after she replaced the roof and gutters and the leaks continued to happened, she was more confused than ever. Since Diane had done everything she could think of to stop the leaks, she called Ayers to have a professional come take a look. Our system design specialist took a trip out to Kalamazoo to see what he could find out about the situation. He was able to determine the leaks were groundwater coming in. Not only was the water leaking into the basement, the pressure was causing the walls to bend them inwards. Diane’s basement would require a waterproofing and foundation solution to stop the groundwater from taking over her foundation.

The first step for the crew was installing a perimeter drainage system, so the water could be captured and disposed of. The drainage system was installed under Diane's foundation at the foot of the wall to catch water as it leaks down. To aid the water on its way to the drainage system, the crew installed rigid plastic BrightWall panels over the poured walls. The panels were snapped into place in front of the walls to create a barrier between the leaking wall and the rest of the basement. Once in the drainage system, the water will be pumped out by a SuperSump sump pump. With new walls in place, it was time for the crew to stop the bowing motion. They did so with the PowerBrace system. Consisting of steel I-beams and special bracket attachments in front of the walls, the PowerBrace system prevents furthering bowing by halting any movement of the wall. They can even be tightened to help push the block walls back to their original position. Diane's basement shouldn't trouble her again with both a waterproofing and foundation system in place.

Keeping Out Water by the Gallon in a Kalamazoo, MI Basement

Carla and Alan had recently found that water would come into their basement during heavy rainstorms. They were worried that there was an issue with the foundation walls and didn’t know what to about it. It was a huge problem because part of the basement was finished and the water really damaged it. In fact, after one particular heavy storm, Carla and Alan emptied out 30 gallons of water. Once that happened, they knew they needed a solution and gave us a call.

Our system design specialist visited Carla and Alan in Kalamazoo, MI and assessed the situation. He determined that the best way to keep water out on a permanent basis was with a perimeter drainage system, sump pump, and two window drains. When the crew arrived, their first step was excavating part of the foundation floor to make room for the perimeter drainage system, WaterGuard. WaterGuard sits in the floor and wall joint to collect any rainwater that came in through the walls. A lot of the rainwater was also coming in below the basement windows. After the perimeter system was in place, the crew attached two duct drains below the windows that would lead water to the WaterGuard system. To make sure that Carla and Alan wouldn’t have to go through another ordeal like before, the crew gave them our most reliable sump pump system: the TripleSafe system. The TripleSafe discharge lines lead to a Lawnscape outlet in the backyard. With a full waterproofing system like this, Carla and Alan won't have to worry about water in their basement ever again.

CleanSpace Wall System Stops a Leaking Basement in Kalamazoo, MI

Emily’s partially finished basement had been leaking for a long time. She was pretty sure the water was coming from a well pit outside. Unfortunately, knowing the source of the problem was no help to her. 12 years ago she had a contractor come out to address the same problem, but all they did was cover the leaks up with an unreliable sealant. The “silly putty sealant”, as Emily referred to it, had done very little to help with the leaking water. In fact, after one recent storm, she spent the entire next day vacuuming out water. Emily knew she had to do something about the leaking basement if she hoped to sell the house one day, so she gave us a call.

Instead of trying to make another seal like Emily's previous contractor, we provided the basement with a moisture barrier and a perimeter drainage system. The moisture barrier, CleanSpace Wall System, will escort water down the inside of the barrier to a perimeter drainage system at the foot of the wall. CleanSpace is a moisture-impenetrable liner that won’t allow water to pass through. Moisture will instead trickle down the wall to the floor. The WaterGuard system sits in the floor and wall joint of the basement to catch that water. Any water in the system will then be directed to a SuperSump for discharge out of the home. When Emily finally decides to sell her home, she won’t have to worry about those leaks again.

FlexiSpan Saves Two Rooms in a Kalamazoo, MI Basement

Water had been leaking into Robert’s basement repeatedly. It seeped through the foundation walls and puddled in two different areas: the bathroom and the room next to it. Water would leak through the wall that connected the two rooms and then flow down to the ground. There was an old window well in the same area that had been filled not too long ago and Robert thought that was what had caused the problem. The flooding was a huge threat to the finished basement, so Robert was ready to do whatever necessary to stop the leaks.

The crew’s solution was to install the FlexiSpan system. FlexiSpan is a two-layer drainage system that blocks water from entering the basement and carries the seepage to a drain well at the foot of the wall. Installing the drain well is the first step of the process. To do so, the crew had to excavate the cement floor and put in the drain. The first layer of FlexiSpan plugs the leaks and the second creates the drainage route. Above the FlexiSpan system, the crew also put in cinderblocks to replace the block windows that were thought to be the cause of the past leaks. Robert's walls should be completely protected from any future seepage.

Finished Basement Receives Waterproofing Treatment in Portage

Nicholas and Aleisha loved spending time in their finished basement—until their egress window started leaking a lot of water into the space. Ayers visited the home and removed the drywall which revealed soaked insulation and traces of mold. The carpet was also wet in some places. The couple was panicked and concerned that the water would ruin their basement, so in they decided to invest in our waterproofing system to address and prevent future damage.

After sealing the cracks where the water was coming entering with FlexiSpan crack repair, Waterguard, a subfloor drainage system was installed along the perimeter of the room. This specially designed piping collects water and reroutes it to the sump, but it sits on top of the footing, so it won’t get clogged with mud.

Once the drainage system was installed, our team installed EverLast panels on the bottom of the walls. These cement boards are won’t be damaged by water, are much harder than typical drywall, and are visually appealing. ThermalDry tile also replaced the carpet. These inorganic subfloor tiles won’t be damaged by water, and since they sit on pegs, if there is a leak, water can easily be dried without removing the flooring.

Not only was the initial problem fixed, but this basement was waterproofed and finished with durable materials to keep it dry for years to come.

Waterproofing System Saves Vicksburg, MI Basement

This home in Vicksburg, MI was located on a lake, and with a finished basement it was a great place to spend time—except for when the water level of the lake was high. With a higher water table, the finished basement encountered some water, soaking the carpets throughout the space. The owners decided to protect the space for the future by installing a waterproofing system in the basement.

Our team got right to work installing WaterGuard along the perimeter of the room. This subfloor drainage system collects any leaks from the walls and reroutes water to the sump, pumping water out of the basement before it can even think about reaching the carpet. Since the piping is placed on top of the footing rather than alongside, it won’t get clogged with wet dirt either.

The current sump pump in the space was upgraded to our SuperSump. This sump works together with WaterGuard and is able to pump 220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of the basement.

In order to fully complete the waterproofing system, we recommend installing a dehumidifier to keep the air just as dry as the surfaces in the basement. Our crew members installed a SaniDry dehumidifier in this home to do exactly that. SaniDry is energy efficient and hard working, wringing the air dry and automatically drains the water to the SuperSump.

Once the basement was waterproofed, the homeowners decided to refinish their basement with waterproof materials as well. BrightWall and ThermallDry inorganic subfloor tiles finish off the space nicely.

With a fully functional, waterproofed basement, this family can enjoy their lake home without having to worry about a lake in their basement.

Adding an Egress Window for a Basement Office in Climax, MI

Merilee called because she wanted to add an egress window to her finished basement, which she hoped to convert to an office. She was concerned about the price, but also the quality of work, and she chose Ayers for our great reputation and competititve pricing.

In addition to the egress window, we sealed a leaking crack with Flexispan and installed a TripleSafe sump pump to take care of some water issues, complete with IceGuard and a Lawnscape outlet on the discharge line. Merilee was interested in refinishing the basement in the future and knows that she can count on us for that project, too.

Sealing a Wall Crack in Climax, MI

A leaking wall crack is a vicious cycle. Water comes in through the crack, which degrades the wall and widens the crack, which lets more water in, and so on and so forth. That's what was happening in Heather's basement when she called us.

Originating at the point where the water line entered the foundation, there was a crack 3-4 feet tall that allowed water in any time it rained or snow melted - basically, any moisture outside quickly made its way inside.

We used FlexiSpan to seal the wall crack, ensuring that it will stay sealed due to FlexiSpan's design. Instead of creating a rigid seal, the material moves with the crack as the wall shifts with changes in the weather, keeping everything sealed and dry.

Rental Property Supported By New SmartJacks In Kalamazoo, MI

Jennifer called us after buying what was supposed to be a rental property but before it could be rented out, she had to deal with the elephant in the room. The floors were not right. They were high in some places and low in others because the jacks in the basement were not doing what was needed to ensure a level floor throughout. She wanted an economical fix so that her income property didn't become just a money pit. Our team led by Project Foreman Ty Azevedo came in and installed SmartJacks and additional support beams in the areas that needed to be lifted. The SmartJacks were installed by first removing a cube of soil below the jack and then filling the hole with compacted stone. The footer plate for the jack was then layed on top of the stone and the jacks were put in place. This process ensures that the load from the floor above is transferred deep down to competent soil so that the jacks will stay in place and reliably support the home for years to come. The jacks are also adjustable and provided a great opportunity to lift the floors to their original position. Jennifer can now rent the home out and start making some extra income rather than just paying on a home that's sitting vacant with wonky floors.

Water Returns After DIY Fix In Kalamazoo, MI

Mark had a crack in his poured concrete walls that was leaking water. He put plaster over the crack in hopes that the water would stop. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Over time, the crack resurfaced and began to leak again. Mark needed a permanent solution for his basement to protect the carpet and trim from being ruined. FlexiSpan was an excellent solution for him. A dry well a few gallons in size was dug out beneath the crack. The well was filled with drainage stone and then concrete was replaced over top, aside from a small gap along the base of the wall to allow water to flow into the well. The crack was then sealed as first line of protection and then our CleanSpace moisture barrier was installed on the wall, floor to ceiling, around the crack. The system allows water to seep in and flow down the wall inconspicuously behind the CleanSpace material. The moisture flows down into the dry well and returns safely to the soil without puddling or harming any of the building materials or posessions in Mark's basement. The problem is now permanently solved.

Water Issues Solved in Kalamazoo, MI

Connie H. from Kalamazoo, MI dealt with a lot of water problems before she called us. There were three rooms in her basement that had water in them and she didn't know where the water was coming from.

In order to eliminate the water entry in her basement, we installed our patented WaterGuard French drain system. WaterGuard rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water and redirecting it to the sump pump. The sump pump we installed for Connie is our patented SuperSump premier sump pump system. SuperSump provides total protection and works perfectly with the WaterGuard system.

WaterGuard Saves Wet Basement in Kalamazoo, MI

Maggie M. in Kalamazoo, MI dealt with water in her basement that kept her worried 24/7. Its a brick home and basement, with the basement finished. She just had waterproofing done and she has water in her basement once again.

Our solution? WaterGuard. Our patented WaterGuard French drain system rests below the floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water and directing it to the sump pump. Once WaterGuard is installed, it is barely noticeable because we cover it with a new layer of cement. No more water problems, no extra space taken up!

Bowing Wall Repaired in Kalamazoo, MI

John T. out of Kalamazoo, MI had a wall that was beginning to bow out. The wall was right next to the driveway of his, and he worried it would cause some issues. He was right -- a bowing wall can inflict serious damage on a home and on a family if they are inside the home when the wall collapses.

To solve this issue, we installed our patented PowerBrace wall repair system. PowerBrace uses steel I-beams that attach to the joists above the wall to give support to tilting, buckling, or bowing walls. They even have the power to potentially bring the wall back to its original position. With this installment, John and his family can now be safe in their home.

WaterGuard Fixes Wet Basement in Kalamazoo, MI

Thomas T. in Kalamazoo, MI has a house that previously was a rental. It had a chronically wet basement and he was preparing to sell the property and needed this problem to be addressed -- he gave us a call.

To solve this problem we went with our trusty WaterGuard French drain system. WaterGuard has been tried and tested innumerable times and is very popular for water issues in basements. WaterGuard rests below the floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water that leaks into the basement through the walls. After we install the system, we cover it up with a fresh layer of concrete, making the project barely visible.

Sinking Concrete Slab in Kalamazoo, MI

Mary T. from Kalamazoo, MI had a sidewalk that was sinking. This created a tripping hazard and an unattractive appearance. She gave us a call to remedy this problem.

Sinking slab? No problem. We used our patented PolyLevel injection foam to lift the slab back to its original position. This process is fairly quick and non-intrusive, as well. We drilled holes smaller than the size of a penny into the slab to inject the PolyLevel and then filled then once we were finished. Voila!

FlexiSpan Used to Seal Cracked Augusta, MI Basement Wall

Glen C. called because one of his basement walls had a small crack in it that would allow water to enter during rainfall. The excess amount of water was beginning to ruin the carpeting and the homeowner was looking for a solution.

Our team of experts decided to install a crack sealant called FlexiSpan. Concrete walls tend to move over time due to shrinkage and pressure from the soil outside of the home. This sealant was smoothed over the wall to fully seal the crack and its neutral color protects the home without taking away from the look and feel of the space. The specialized sealant is waterproof and moves with the wall to prevent it from re-cracking.

CleanSpace Transforms Crawl Space in Portage, MI

Helen B. from Portage, MI had a dark, damp, dirty crawl space that she wanted to use for storage. Without an encapsulation system, this is practically impossible. Hence, she gave us a call.

We installed a customer favorite of ours: the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is a 20mm thick white plastic lining that, when installed, completely seals off Helen's crawl space from the elements surrounding it. No water, dirt, or cold air will pass through this barrier. As a bonus, CleanSpace is developed with anti-microbial properties, preventing mold growth. With CleanSpace, Helen can use her crawl space for storage without having to worry it will be damaged by the elements.

WaterGuard and SuperSump in Portage, MI Basement

Daniel K. purchased his house in June of 2016 and has found water leaking into the finished area in basement with heavy rains. He attempted to correct the problem with extending gutter downspouts and landscaping, but it continued to be an issue. That's when he gave us a call.

Our solution? The SuperSump premier sump pump system and the WaterGuard French drain system. SuperSump is a sump pump specifically designed to keep your basement dry for long periods of time. It is capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour, so the SuperSump is suitable for heavy water intrusion.

The WaterGuard French drain system rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water that comes into the basement from the walls. That water is then redirected to the sump pump -- in this case, the SuperSump -- to the pumped up and outside of the home.

Sinking Slab Fixed in Portage, MI

Chris D.'s front patio slab had sunk almost two inches when he called us. This makes for a serious tripping hazard and simply an unsightly appearance.

Our solution? PolyLevel injection foam. PolyLevel is lightweight yet extremely durable foam that has a quick and easy installation. We start by drilling penny-sized holes into the slab for the PolyLevel to be injected through. Once the PolyLevel is injected, we refill the holes, making this a very noninvasive project. 15 minutes after the job is finished, the slab can be walked on!

Leaky Basement Saved in Portage, MI

Mark W. form Portage, MI had a basement that was leaking water in one room. The basement is finished and was built in 2000 with poured concrete. They couldn't really tell where the water was coming in. They discovered the water issue last week, and decided to pull up the carpet because it was soaked. There are hairline cracks in the floor of the basement. There is no sump pump.

Our solution? WaterGuard, SaniDry XP, and the SuperSump. The SuperSump is a sump pump specifically designed to keep your basement dry for long periods of time. Capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour, it is suitable for heavy water intrusion. We installed that first.

Next, we installed WaterGuard. The WaterGuard French drain system is a drain systems that rests below the basement floor but above the foundation footing, collecting the water that enters into the basement from the walls. That water is then redirected to the sump pump -- or in this case, the SuperSump.

To finish off the project, we installed the SaniDry XP standing dehumidifier. SaniDry can collect up to 109 liters of water per day and has an air filter capable of removing particles as small as 2 microns. This is great for getting rid of any water vapor that lives in the basement.

Waterproofing in Wet Basement in Richland, MI Home

Steve C. of Richland had water leaking from one spot in his wall in the corner of his basement. Two plumbers and a construction crew couldn't help, so the construction crew recommended calling us.

We decided the best way to solve this problem would be to install our patented WaterGuard French drain system and TripleSafe sump pump system. The TripleSafe is a sump pump that provides three levels of protection against water leakage. Whether it is normal water supply, heavy volumes of water, or in the case of a power outage, this sump pump will keep your basement dry. For normal water supply, the Zoeller ⅓ horsepower pump functions. At a heavier level, the Zoeller ½ horsepower pump activates. In the case of a power outage, the UltraSump backup sump pump will pump water on a backup battery.

After we installed the TripleSafe, we moved onto the WaterGuard system. WaterGuard rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting the water that seeps in through the basement walls. This water is then directed to the TripleSafe to be pumped outside.

CleanSpace Transforms Dirty Crawl Space in Richland, MI

Mary Ann M. of Richland, MI was experiencing dealing with a dirty and possibly settled crawl space. There are a few homes that have been remodeled recently on the lake that may have caused settling. Hence, she gave us a call.

We installed a customer favorite: the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is a 20mm thick plastic lining that completely seals off the crawl space from the surrounding elements. No cold air, water, or dirt will pass through this layer. As an added bonus, CleanSpace is made with anti-microbial components that fight against any mold growth.

PolyLevel in Richland, MI

Jim L. has a slab foundation that was sinking around the front door and front area of his home. He had some concrete leveling done on another area of the home and was thinking that should be done here too. With this being said, he gave us a ring.

We used our patented PolyLevel injection foam to lift the slab. PolyLevel is lightweight and proven to outlast mudjacking. PolyLevel is also very nonintrusive and after the project is complete, the slab can be used as normal as early as 15 minutes afterward.

Sinking Porch in Richland, MI Lifted by PolyLevel

Jennifer A. from Richland, MI dealt with a sinking front porch before she called us. I had sunken about 2 inches, making for a serious tripping hazard.

Our fix? PolyLevel injection foam. We started by drilling penny-sized holes in the slab, creating entry points for the injection. Once the foam was injected, we refilled the holes, making the project very noninvasive. PolyLevel dried quickly and can be walked on after only 15 minutes, as well. This is a great solution for a sinking slab!

Sinking Driveway and Patio in Galesburg, MI Stabilized With PolyLevel

Carl and Vickie N. had their driveway and patio slabs mudjacked in the past after they had settled several inches. The problem seemed to be resolved at first, although the slabs sunk once again, causing the concrete to crack.

To resolve this problem properly, we installed the PolyLevel system. Unlike mudjacking, this system uses lightweight polymers that address weak soils that caused the slab to sink in the first place. We drilled several holes in the slabs that we then filled with the specialized polymers that expanded to lift and stabilize the settled driveway and patio. The installation was fast and easily with little disruption to the home and the cure time was only about 15 minutes! To repair the cracks and prevent them from shifting any further over time, we used NexusPro joint sealer.

FlexiSpan Installed in Schoolcraft, MI Basement

Jeff V. of Schoolcraft, MI had a crack in his foundation that was allowing water to seep through. The house was built in 2005 and the basement is finished. He tore apart his basement trying to find the crack before he called us.

Our solution to this problem? FlexiSpan. Our patented FlexiSpan polyurethane sealant is perfect for cracks like this. It is 100% waterproof and its flexibility allows it to move with the natural shifting of the foundation wall without losing its waterproofing capabilities.

Total Waterproofing in Scotts, MI Basement

Norm W. of Scotts, MI has a basement that was wet most of the time before he called us. He thought water was coming in through the cement blocks on the walls and up through the floor. There is also a lake about 80 feet away, which could be a cause for this. This said, Norm gave us a call.

We installed three of our customer favorites in this project: BrightWall, SuperSump, and WaterGuard. Starting with SuperSump, this premier sump pump system is a sump pump is specifically designed to keep your basement dry for long periods of time. Capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour, this machine is suitable for heavy water intrusion.

WaterGuard is a French drain system that works perfectly with the SuperSump. WaterGuard rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water that seeps into the basement from the exterior. Once that water is collected, it is directed to the sump pump to be pumped out of this home. The sump pump in this case is the SuperSump.

Lastly, we installed our BrightWall basement wall panels. BrightWall is a rigid plastic that is completely waterproof and washable, keeping Norm's basement as dry and clean as it can be. BrightWall is a vibrant white, as well, maximizing the light that enters the basement.

Complete Waterproofing System in Vicksburg, MI Home

Troy B. of Vicksburg, MI bought his house a couple of months ago and he was not aware there were any water issues. The basement is finished, so Troy could not figure out where the water was coming from. There were a few wet spots in different places and it was always random when it appeared. This said, Troy called us.

Our solution for a long-term waterproofing? The TripleSafe sump pump system, the WaterGuard French drain system, and the SaniDry XP standing dehumidifier. We began by installing the TripleSafe, a sump pump that provides three levels of protection against water leakage. Whether it be normal water supply, heavy volumes of water, or in the case of a power outage, this sump pump will keep your basement dry. For normal water supply, the Zoeller ⅓ horsepower pump functions. At a heavier level, the Zoeller ½ horsepower pump activates. In the case of a power outage, the UltraSump backup sump pump will pump water on a backup battery.

Following that installation, we moved onto the WaterGuard system. WaterGuard rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water that seeps into the basement from the walls. After that water is collected it is redirected to the sump pump -- the TripleSafe -- to be pumped up and out of the home.

To finish up the project, we installed the SaniDry XP standing dehumidifier. The SaniDry XP can collect up to 109 liters of water per day and is compact enough to be stored in corners or closets in the basement.

Waterproofing in Flooded Vicksburg, MI Basement

John and Marcia K. have a home on a lake. When the lake water was up their yard was flooded -- and so was their basement. Their finished basement was soaked with water even though they had a sump pump. With this being said, they wanted a permanent waterproofing solution and they called us.

To remedy this issue we installed several of our favorite products: the SuperSump, WaterGuard, BrightWall, and the SaniDry XP. We started out installing the SuperSump. The SuperSump premier sump pump system is a sump pump specifically designed to keep your basement dry for long periods of time. Capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour, it is suitable for heavy water intrusion.

The WaterGuard French drain system came next. WaterGuard rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing collecting water that leaks into the basement from the walls. Once that water has been collected, it is redirected to the sump pump -- the SuperSump -- to be pumped up and out of the home.

We then installed BrightWall basement wall panels. BrightWall is a rigid plastic that is 100% waterproof and washable, making it perfect for a basement prone to water problems. BrightWall also acts as a vapor barrier, helping trap humidity before it enters.

The finishing touch to this project was the SaniDry XP standing dehumidifier. The SaniDry XP can collect up to a whopping 109 liters of water that is already living in the air in the basement. The compact size of this beast makes it perfect for putting in a closet or against a wall.

PolyLevel Saves Sinking Slab in Vicksburg, MI

Darla N. of Vicksburg, MI has a front porch that had cracked in the middle and one half had settled and sunk. Darla needed a solution to this problem, so she called us.

Our fix? PolyLevel injection foam. PolyLevel is lightweight yet tough as ever and proven to be a better solution than mudjacking. PowerBrace Installment in West Olive, MI Rescues Foundation

Dennis K. of West Olive, MI contacted us when he realized the foundation issues he was having had to come to an end. He stated there was a tree located next to his MI basement and that there were some cracks in the cinderblock wall. He also mentioned that the wall was bowing in.

Our solution? The PowerBrace foundation wall repair system. PowerBrace is a wall repair system that stabilizes tilting, bowing, or buckling basement walls. The system uses steel I-beams that secure to the joists above the wall.
As an added bonus, this system can be adjusted over time to eventually bring the foundation wall back to its original position.

FlexiSpan Repairs Crack in Galesburg, MI Basement Wall

These homeowners were selling their house but they first needed to deal with the crack in their foundation wall that was allowing water to enter the basement. In order for the inspection company to sign off on the home, the cracks needed to be fixed.

Our team of experts installed the FlexiSpan system to repair the cracked wall and take care of any water seepage. This system uses polyurethane to plug the crack in the wall, which prevents water from entering. A drainage pipe was also installed at the base of the wall, underneath the crack, to collect and discard any intruding water that was strong enough to break through the sealant. A specialized drainage layer was installed over the crack that guides incoming water down into the drainage pipes, rather than allowing it flow onto the floor.

Wet Climax, MI Basement Recieves Total Waterproofing Solution

This home had water seeping into the basement through the walls and the homeowner wanted an effective waterproofing system installed to keep her basement dry.

The first installation for this project was the effective WaterGuard system that used specialized pipes to collect intruding water, rather than allow it to seep into the basement. The floor was excavated around the interior perimeter of the basement and the pipes were placed in the ground. Water entering through the wall flowed down into the drainage pipes and then immediately drained into the sump pump in the home.

Next we installed an additional discharge line on the home with the IceGuard system and a LawnScape outlet attached. The IceGuard system has specialized holes that guide water from the sump pump outside of the home if the discharge lines freeze and are unable to discard water. The LawnScape outlet was attached to the end of the discharge line to discard water out away from the home, which will prevent it from flowing back toward the property and causing further issues.

The Dynamic Duo: WaterGuard and SuperSump

David M. of Portage, MI had water problems in his basement for quite some time. Water would appear in the corner of basement, especially when it would rain or when the snow would thaw in the spring. Thus, David gave us a call.

We installed our favorite pair of products: the SuperSump premier sump pump system and the WaterGuard French drain system. The SuperSump is a sump pump specifically designed to keep your basement dry for long periods of time. Capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour, it is suitable for heavy water intrusion.

The WaterGuard system rests below the basement floor but above the foundation footing, normally around the edge of the room. This French drain does a great job at collecting water that seeps into the basement from the walls. Once this water is collected it is redirected to the SuperSump to be pumped up and out of the basement.

Moldy Walls and Wet Floor in Richland, MI Basement

Dan C. from Richland, MI was having some serious basement problems prior to calling us. There was water coming into the basement, spilling into the floor, and mold growing on the walls.

Our fix? The TripleSafe sump pump system and the WaterGuard French drain system.

The TripleSafe is a sump pump that provides three levels of protection against water leakage.

The WaterGuard French drain system rests below the basement floor but above the foundation footing. This drain collects water that seeps into the basement from the walls and redirects it to the TripleSafe to be pumped up and out of the home.

Bowed Galesburg, MI Wall Stabilized With CarbonArmor and PowerBraces

This home had a bowing foundation wall with a large horizontal crack. The homeowner was looking for an effective solution to save his failing wall and potentially shift it back to its original position.

To stabilize this wall, we installed both the PowerBrace and CarbonArmor systems. The PowerBrace system used steel braces that were installed in the floor at the base of the wall and then securely attached to the joists above the wall with steel brackets. After the system was tightened into place, the wall was held in place and would no longer shift or crack any further. We also installed the CarbonArmor system to further prevent the wall from bowing any further. A strong epoxy resin was painted on the wall at the location of each CarbonArmor strap. The strap was then adhered to the wall and secured into place with steel brackets, which immediately stabilized the wall. Both of these systems help to potentially pull the wall back to its original position.

Once the system was completely installed, we replaced the soil outside of the wall and the homeowner no longer had to worry about water damaging his wood floors.

Sinking Sidewalk Repaired by PolyLevel in Vicksburg, MI

James K. of Vicksburg, MI has a sidewalk leading up to his front porch that had been sinking for years. A sinking slab, whether it be a driveway, sidewalk, or porch, can cause concern. This is mainly because these sunken slabs are great tripping hazards -- and no one wants to trip and smash their face into concrete! This said, James called us in search of a professional and a long-term solution.

We used our PolyLevel injection foam to raise James's sidewalk. The first step in the project is to drill small, penny-sized holes into the concrete slab for which to use as access points to inject the foam through. Once we inject the foam underneath the slab -- thus, raising it -- we refill the drilled holes with fresh concrete to make the holes practically invisible.

Settled Driveway in Augusta, MI Recieved PolyLevel Installation

This customer had a driveway that needed to be lifted. The slabs dropped about 2-3 inches and there was some erosion on the driveway as well. Several substantial cracks also formed on the slab that the homeowner wanted to address as well.

We used the PolyLevel system to level the driveway and combat the weak soil issue below that allowed the slab to sink. We drilled penny-sized holes into the driveway and injected them with specialized polymers that expanded to lift the slab back to its proper position. The installation caused little disruption to the home and the polymer material was made to cure within 15 minutes and match the color of the driveway. Next we installed NexusPro joint sealant to caulk the large cracks and prevent them from shifting or growing in size.

PowerBraces Installed to Stabilize Failing Augusta, MI Wall

This customer contacted us because she was purchasing a home with block foundation walls that were pushing inward about an inch. Thankfully, our team of experts knew the perfect solution.

We used the PowerBrace system to completely stabilize the wall and prevent it from continuing to push inward. This system used a joist reinforcement method that transferred the weight of the wall evenly across the floor above to ensure other areas of the home were not impacted. The system used steel I-Beams that were installed directly on the wall. The beams were installed at the base of the wall and then connected to reinforced joists above the wall to secure the wall in place. Just like dental braces, this system can also be used to potentially push the wall back to its original position over time.

Bowed Kalamazoo, MI Wall Stabilized With CarbonArmor and PowerBraces

This 75-year-old home had a bowed basement wall with multiple cracks all the way down the middle. We installed the CarbonArmor and PowerBrace systems to completely stabilize the wall and hopefully help pull the wall back to its original position. To install the CarbonArmor straps, a special epoxy resin was painted onto the wall at the location of each strap in order to adhere the system to the wall. Steel brackets were then installed to further hold the wall and straps in place. The PowerBrace system used steel I-beams that were installed in the ground at the base of the wall and to the joists above the wall. Once secured and tightened into place, the beams immediately stabilized the wall and prevented it from shifting any further. Both of these systems work to potentially straighten the wall over time.

Smelly Crawl Space Saved by CleanSpace

Tom is the oldest son in his family and he took it upon himself to get something done about the terrible odor coming from his father's crawl space. An addition to the house was built on top of the crawl space and the crawl space has been smelly for years! Thankfully for Tom and his father, we were there to help.

For this project, we installed out patented CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system. CleanSpace is a 20mm thick plastic lining that is sure to keep the elements out of a crawl space. This means that no dirt, cold air, or water -- which can induce mold growth and unpleasant odors -- will be able to get into the crawl space. And as an added bonus, the CleanSpace material is made with anti-microbial properties that act as a secondary protection against mold growth.

PolyLevel Raised and Leveled Uneven Slabs in Kalamazoo, MI

Mary and Alex E. contacted us because the stairs leading to their home were starting to sink and pull away from the home. They also had a slab in their driveway that was settled and severely cracked. They were looking for a reliable solution that would raise the slabs and prevent them from sinking again in the future.

For both the driveway and the stairs, we drilled multiple holes into the slabs in order to inject specialized polymers underneath the concrete to lift and level out the slab. Once injected, the polymers expanded to immediately raise the slabs to their proper level. They are extremely dense to lift and level the concrete but lightweight enough to address the weak soil below that caused the heavy slabs to sink in the first place. We also used the NexusPro joint sealer to seal off the large crack in the driveway to prevent it from shifting even further.

WaterGuard Installation in Kalamazoo, MI

John P. of Kalamazoo, MI dealt with water leaking into his basement for quite some time. The house was built in 1964, it was starting to show.

We had a solution for this water issue, though: the WaterGuard French drain system. The drain rests below the basement floor and above the foundation footing, collecting water that seeps into the basement from the walls. Once this water is gathered, it is redirected to the sump pump to be pumped up and out of the home.

Carbon Armor Fixes Cracked Wall in Kalamazoo, MI

This customer called us because there was a crack in their basement wall, going vertically down almost the entire wall. The walls are made of concrete and there were no noticeable signs of water but we wanted to fix the crack before a serious problem occurred. Carbon armor is a very strong material that is almost impossible to stretch. Cracking is usually a sign that the wall may begin to bow if it hasn't already. The carbon armor straps will prevent any further cracking and from making sure the wall doesn't end up bowing.

Kalamazoo, MI Home Has WaterGuard Installed to Prevent Standing Water

This customer called us because the walls in his home had stains and there were a couple cracks in the corner. Both of these are signs that water is coming through. It's best to prevent massive amounts of standing water from intruding your home then to ignore the signs. This home was built in 1922 and there was no sump pump installed.

Our team of experts had our perimeter WaterGuard system installed to collect the water that was coming through and direct it to the sump that we also installed. We went with our SuperSump sump pump which has an airtight lid and an alarm to alert you if levels ever get too high for the pump.

WaterGuard Perimeter System Installed to Fix Flooding Basement in Comstock Park, MI

This customer contacted us because he had another company install a perimeter system to take care of his flooding basement. The system they installed was only a partial perimeter system and it wasn't doing the job. The water in his basement really concerned this customer because he had done a lot of work in his basement and didn't want it ruined.

We decided the best solution to this problem was to install an entire perimeter system and not just a partial. WaterGuard sits above the footing rather than alongside it so no dirt, sand or other debris can get in and affect the system. The system is installed within a day and we make sure to put new cement down where the old was tore out.

CleanSpace Protects a Wet Gun Lake, MI Crawl Space

Jim called us with the summary, "My home on Gun Lake has a huge water issue and the crawl space is a mess." Say no more. Homes near a lake or other body of water have an especially high chance at having water problems due to the high water table. This home had a wet and humid crawl space that was leading to  gross smells upstairs.

We used CleanSpace vapor barrier to encapsulate the crawl space, including drainage matting to help water move toward the drain. We also installed a SaniDry CX dehumidifier to control ambient moisture in the crawl space and prevent mold and moisture damage. Preventing mold growth and controlling moisture will keep the crawl space safe and eliminate  those not so fresh smells.

Water Damage No More in Kalamazoo, MI

The homeowners in Kalamazoo, MI had water coming into their basement from the floors and the walls. They had water stains all over the walls and in the corners of their basement floors. They knew that the problem needed to be fixed.

Our professional team installed a SuperSump sump pump. The SuperSump system is a full featured system that includes the best components available. It includes the SuperLiner, which is an airtight lid that looks more attractive, keeps pests out and eliminates safety hazard of an open sump pump. It has a floor drain in case an unforeseen accident puts water on your basement floor. It includes a WaterWatch Alarm, which alerts you if the water level rises above the sump pump intake. It has a cast-iron pump to prevent overheating and burnout. It has a CleanPump pump stand that elevates the sump pump to prevent clogging.  It has a check valve to prevent pumped water from re-entering.  Lastly, it has an improved float valve to ensure long term performance.

Next, our team installed WaterGuard long lasting interior perimeter drainage system. The WaterGuard system sits on the top of the footing in the basement in order to prevent clogging. The system captures water seepage from the floors and walls of the basement and carries that water directly to the sump pump. The sump pump then removes the water from the home, keeping your basement nice and dry.

The team also installd the IceGuard anti freeze system. The IceGuard system is attached to the sump pump discharge line outside of the home. The IceGuard system allows water to escape from a sump pump discharge line if the pipe freezes or becomes blocked for any reason. Even if the pipe outlet is buried under a foot of ice and snow, the water can escape, allowing your sump pump to keep your basement dry.

WaterGuard Saves Flooding Basement in Vicksburg, MI

This customer called us because their basement was flooding terribly and they were tired of using the shop vac 3 times a week. They used their basement mainly for storage so they did't want their vauables/belongings getting ruined.

We came to the conclusion that the best solution to the problem would be to install our perimeter WaterGuard system. WaterGuard is installed literally around the entire perimeter of a basement and works to direct water to the sump pump. The system is intalled above the footing rather tha along side of it to prevent build up of debris.

Waterproofing in Comstock Park, MI

The homeowners in Comstock Park, MI had water seeping into their basement through the floor. Their home is located near a lake so they have had problems like this before especially when it rains. They had an existing perimeter drain system, but that was not a permanent solution.

Our professional team knew they needed to find a more permanent solution for this customer. They started off by installing the WaterGuard long lasting interior perimeter drainage system. The WaterGuard system works by capturing floor and water seepage before it does any damage to the basement. The system sits on the top of the footing in the basement to make sure the drain does not get clogged by mud or other debris. Once the water is in the system, it is transported to the sump pump and removed from the home.

The homeowner had an exisitng sump pump that was doing its job so our team decided to install IceGuard to give it a little more protection. The IceGuard system is installed on the discharge line of your sump pump outside of the home. The system works by allowing water to escape if the discharge line freezes or becomes blocked for any reason. Even if the pipe outlet is buried under a foot of ice and snow, the water can escape, allowing your sump pump to keep your basement dry. When the discharge pipe thaws, the water will automatically run along its normal route, and no water will escape from the IceGuard.

Basement Full of Water in Portage, MI

The homeowners in Portage, MI had 2 inches of water covering their entire basement. Something like this has never happened before in their basement and they were not exactly sure how the water was getting into their home. They knew they needed to do something fast, the water was destroying their finished basement.

Our professional team first installed out TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe is great because it has three sump pumps in one giving the homeowners triple protection! The first pump will remove water from the home effectively. The second pump is more powerful and has a seperate discharge line. The second pump is there for you on the rare ocassions that the first pump breaks. The third pump is equipped with batteries so it is there for you if the power goes out.

Next, the team installed our WaterGuard long lasting interior perimeter drainage system. The WaterGuard system works by sitting on the top of the footing in the basement so it does not get clogged because of mud or other debris. The system captures water seepage from the floors and walls trapping the water before it does any damage to the basement floor. Once WaterGuard traps the water in its drain, the water is carried directly to the sump pump where it is then removed from the home!

Lastly, our team installed the IceGuard anti freeze system for added protection. The IceGuard system attachs to the sump pump discharge line on the outside of the home. The system allows water to escape from the line even if the pipe freezes or becomes clogged for some reason.  Even if the pipe outlet is buried under a foot of ice and snow, the water can escape, allowing your sump pump to keep your basement dry. When the discharge pipe thaws, the water will automatically run along its normal route, and no water will escape from the IceGuard.

Thanks to TripleSafe, WaterGuard and IceGuard the homeowners basement is now clean and dry!

Ankle High Water in Home in Vicksburg, MI

Andrew’s found that his basement was flooding. The water was coming in from cracks on the floor and the wall. He had a sump pump but it was not able to keep up with the amount of water coming in and had to be unplugged. His home was built in the 1970’s made of poured concrete walls.

Our team came in and helped Andrew waterproof his basement. We began by installing our WaterGuard perimeter system. WaterGuard is used to guide any water coming in through the walls and floor to the TripleSafe sump pump. TripleSafe is specifically designed for situations like Andrew’s. It has three sump pumps in one sump liner. The first is a high quality pump that efficiently pumps out the water and the second pump  kicks on when the first pump can’t keep up with the amount of water entering the basement. They work together to make sure that water is pumped out. The third pump, is battery powered and kicks on in the event there is a power outage. This technology ensures that even in a bad storm your basement is still protected.

We installed our Lawnscape Outlet so that the water being pumped out the basement is able to escape with virtually no pitch. It is installed below ground to avoid tripping hazards and maintain your attractive lawn. Lastly, we installed IceGuard, for those cold winter months, which ejects the water away from your home. IceGuard ensures that when those discharge lines freeze, because they will, the water still has a place to go and will not flow back into your basement.

Resovling Bowing Walls in Kalamazoo, MI

Jim noticed horizontal cracks running through his basement walls. This is usually the first symptom of bowing walls, they start off small but increase with size as the soil exerts more pressure on to the wall. The pressure on the walls can come from  various causes including water saturating the soil, frost, and expansive clay soil.

We installed CarbonArmor in Jim’s basement. CarbonArmor is substantially stronger than concrete and 10 times stronger than steel. It is specifically designed for basement walls. The flexible design allows for CarbonArmor to contour tightly against the wall. It’s low-profile design allows for installation around tight spaces and in between obstacles. It can be concealed with paint for a nice and clean finished look in your basement.

Portage, MI Basement Fixed with PowerBraces

This home in Portage, MI had some stair-step cracks in the foundation wall. Most of the time this happens from the soil outside your foundation walls expanding. This home had a special case where a tree root was actually causing the wall to bow inward and create the cracks they were seeing inside their home.

To take care of the cracks we installed our PowerBrace system. PowerBraces can be tightened to allow for improvement of the wall over time. They are also zinc coated so you don't have to worry about them rusting out. These are also a good option if you don't have room for excavation on the outside of your home.

Flooded Basement in Climax, MI

This couple was having trouble keeping water out of their basement. They had to vacuum it up often to keep their basement from actually flooding. The customers traveled a lot and wanted to get the problem fixed so they didn't have to keep sending people over to check on the house when they are away. The water was coming in where the floor and wall meet.

We had just the solution to the problem. Our WaterGuard system is a perimeter system that works to collect water when it seeps in through the floor or walls. It then directs the water to the sump pump where it can be pumped out of the basement and away from the home. The system lies above the footing rather than alongside it so you don't have any issues with debris clogging your system. WaterGuard is proven to work and has fixed thousands of flooded basements.

Kalamazoo, MI Home with Sagging Concrete Porch

In Kalamazoo, a home had a concrete slab on the porch that was sagging down away from the house. The homeowner hated how it made the house look because it is right at the front of the house. They called us to install our PolyLevel technology so that their porch could be level again. PolyLevel is a polymer injection foam that we blast into the concrete slab to level it out and make it even stronger than ever before.

PolyLevel worked to raise and level out the concrete slabs while dealing with the weak soils below that were no longer able to hold the weight of the home above. We drilled multiple small holes into the concrete slabs in order to inject them with a polymer material that expanded to lift and level out the concrete. Once injected, the system only needed about 15 minutes to fully cure and the slabs were then stabilized and lifted to their proper level, and stronger than ever before. Now, this homeowner will not have to worry about this ever again.

We drove over there and decided to install our PolyLevel system which is an advanced polymer injection foam that we blast into the concrete slab that levels it makes it stronger than ever before.

Water in your basement can be your worst nightmare, it causes mold, ruins carpet and drywall and is such a pain to get out.

Leaning Foundation Walls in Kalamazoo, MI

We sent a system design specialist out to this home in Kalamazoo because the foundation walls had horizontal cracks and it seemed as if the wall was almost tipping inward. Our system design specialists do a complete inspection inside and outside the home to ensure we offer the best advice and solution. After inspecting everything and talking it over with the homeowner, we both decided that our GeoLock Wall Anchor System would be the best fix to the cracking foundation.

GeoLock Wall Anchors are connected to earth anchors that are embedded into the soil out away from the foundation. The most unique benefit to Wall Anchors is their ability to be tightened over time which gives the wall the best chance at straightening back to its original position. Wall anchors can fix very severe bowing and leaning walls. They also solve the problem once and for all so no more worrying about your weakening foundation.

SmartJacks are a Smart Idea for a Kalamazoo, MI Homeowner

Our friend Derek from Kalamazoo, MI found himself facing a foundation support issue; due to past flooding in his basement. He revealed that the wooden foundation supports had become weakened from the water exposure; his floors upstairs were beginning to sag. Derek knew he needed to seek help from trusted local experts. That’s why he called us, when he realized the sagging beams in his basement were threatening the comfort and stability of his home. Upon diagnosing Derek’s needs, we recommended a solution of three Smart Jacks to stabilize his home. The Smart Jack is a supplemental support system for basement and crawl space applications. The Smart Jack effectively supports sagging beams and floor joists caused by, a length of span greater than spanning capability, floor load increased after construction, exceeding design values, and weakening over time due to high moisture and rot. With these Smart Jacks in place, Derek can rest assured knowing that the foundation issues that once plagued him will forever be a thing of the past.
