Ed joined Ayers in 2005 as a project manager and was quickly promoted to sales manager. In October 2011, he partnered with founder Virgil Ayers to become an owner of the company.
Ed was already a successful entrepreneur and he still owns several commercial and residential rental properties. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the Home Builders Association of Southwestern Michigan and also is certified to teach continuing education to realtors, zoning officials and home inspectors.
His passion for helping homeowners shows in the thousands of basements, crawl spaces and foundations Ed has personally inspected. To increase his expertise, he earned the “Certified Waterproofing Professional” and “Certified Foundation Repair Specialist” designations through the Basement Systems International Network of Waterproofing Contractors.
Ed was drawn to Ayers after researching multiple waterproofing businesses. The ethical and moral foundation of the company is what set them apart. “The culture here at Ayers is unlike anything I have ever been around. Ayers’ mission to ‘Just Do The Right Thing’ really shows,” Ed says. “Every day I look around and am amazed at the group of people I work with. I can truly call them my family. I am continuously looking for more top-quality people to join us.”
Originally from Benton Harbor, Michigan, Ed now resides in Caledonia, Michigan. He enjoys hiking, fishing with his Dad and spending time with his three sons and their families. He is also an avid golfer and a certified scuba diver.
No matter how big or small a project, Ayers can do it. This crawlspace was a mess and needed to be encased in a vapor barrier and have new concrete laid down. The crew used CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation to keep the outside elements and moisture out of the crawlspace.
