Ed Krieger
CEO
Caledonia, MIWhen Ed Krieger came to Ayers in 2005, he brought experience and passion for his customers that led to success as sales manager. Since becoming an owner of the company in 2011, that passion has expanded to hiring, fostering, and growing a great team at Ayers.
Building on the foundation of ethical business practices and great customer service that drew him to Ayers, Ed wants to change the face of the contracting industry by focusing on providing a remarkable customer experience from the very first contact.
"Every day is a new beginning," Ed says. "A new opportunity to help someone who is really struggling with a problem in their home. And for me, a new opportunity to shape the path for the great people I am lucky to be surrounded by at Ayers. I want to hire the best people, give them the best tools, and help them reach their full potential in a way that is rewarding not only at work, but at home with their families."
Ed is a life-long resident of West Michigan and is active in many local civic organizations. He enjoys spending time with his children and their families, as well as golfing and hiking.

Zack Krieger
Chief Growth Officer

Zack joined Ayers in 2007, initially drawn by his love for physical outdoor work. Since then, he has held various positions, from leading crews in repairing basements, crawl spaces, and foundations to managing departments and, now, overseeing the company. Zack believes in providing a remarkable experience to customers and employees, ensuring Ayers remains a trusted partner in the community.
Originally from St. Joseph, Michigan, Zack now resides in Alto. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and traveling with his family. He and his wife are avid pickleball players and share their home with a dog, two cats, and an aquarium full of fish. -
James Adams
Chief Operating Officer
Webberville, MI“I was drawn in by Ayers’ dedication to customer service and employees. The enthusiasm of the recruiting team truly pulled me in.”
James brings a wealth of experience from service-based industries. His career has spanned finance, accounting, marketing, and franchising, including 14 years with an American franchised moving company. His passion for supporting customers and employees led him to Ayers, where he feels connected to the company’s commitment to employee well-being and work-life integration.
James lives in Webberville, Michigan, with his wife Bobbie, their two children, a cat named Georgia, and a dog named Gracie. When he’s not working, you’ll find him mountain biking, supporting MiSCA (a kids’ biking and racing organization), playing guitar, running marathons, golfing, or creating art. -
Steve Maat
Director of Human Resources
Newaygo, MISteve brings decades of HR leadership experience and a passion for building strong, people-first cultures. He was drawn to Ayers because of our shared focus on creating a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
Steve lives in Newaygo, MI, with his wife Kristie. They’ve been married for 27 years and have twin daughters: Rylee, and Sydney. In his free time, Steve enjoys watching sports, training dogs, and spending summer days on his pontoon.

Taylor Morris
Director of Marketing

Taylor is a Ferris State University graduate with degrees in graphic design and advertising/integrated marketing communications. Before joining Ayers, she was the Director of Marketing and Communications for an association management company. She also has experience in event planning and project management.
Taylor grew up in Jackson, MI, and currently resides in Lansing, MI, with her husband and their cockapoo. She regularly visits Detroit and Ann Arbor to cheer on the Red Wings, Lions or the University of Michigan. She enjoys spending time with her family, attending country concerts, and working out. -
Rebecca Szczepanek
Sales Manager

Before joining Ayers, Rebecca worked in her family’s business, gaining hands-on experience in home building from the ground up. She also held process and project management roles at a large corporation, which gave her a unique appreciation for partnering with customers to solve their home problems while addressing their specific needs.
Rebecca lives in Grand Rapids, MI, with her husband, son, daughter, and their two dogs. When she’s not exploring new spots in Michigan with her family, she enjoys photography, gardening, and projects of all kinds. -
Dan Hendy
Production Manager
Lansing, MI“I’m excited to come to work because I know we make a difference in people’s lives. I lived in a house with a very stressful basement problem. We give families back peace of mind in their homes.”
Dan joined Ayers in 2016 with a varied background in construction, including roofing, siding, windows, and barn restoration. He was drawn to the company because of its stellar reputation, professional atmosphere, and opportunities for career growth.
Dan, his wife, and their two sons live in Lansing, Michigan. He enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and working on his cars in his free time. -
Josh Hendershot
Service Manager
Wyoming, MIJosh brings a diverse background in deep foundation solutions and underground utilities, making him an excellent fit for an industry focused on everything below ground.
Josh resides in Wyoming, MI, with his wife and three children. They are a busy, sports-loving family who enjoy basketball, baseball, football, and volleyball. Over the past several years, Josh has also coached travel teams. They are active members of Grand Rapids First Church and share their home with two dogs, Marley and Prince. Additionally, they are proud fans of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
When asked why he joined Ayers, Josh emphasized the leadership opportunities and, most importantly, the people he would be working with.
