Bowing foundation walls are worrying, and no one understands that better than Matthew and his family. He also knows how hard it can be to find a contractor you trust and, based on first-hand experience at his parents’ home, he’s confident in the experts at Ayers Basement Systems.

Like all of us at Ayers, Matthew strives to make a difference in his customers’ lives. He accomplishes that by listening to their concerns, thoroughly investigating the cause of problems, and making sure homeowners understand the options for repair. Matthew acquired these customer service skills from years in the restaurant industry doing every job that needed doing.

“It was in restaurants where I learned the importance of doing small, mundane tasks with excellence,” Matthew says. “Everything we do creates a ripple, and we likely never know the full impact of our actions. I want my customers’ lives to be positively affected by my actions and the actions of my coworkers.”

Matthew grew up in Cadillac, Michigan, and now lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan. where he spends as much time as possible outside enjoying seasonal activities, including skiing, staying in shape, and hanging out with his nephews.
