A customer in Jackson approached us with a wet crawl space that needed help before it would be invaded by mold. Luckily, we had just the fix to keep this homeowner's basement dry from the outside enviornment. We installed our moisture fighting CleanSpace system. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that fits to the crawl space to completely seal the home from the earth. Polyester cord reinforcement allows for a lot of durability, to make it last longer than the home will. This liner also contains an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold. This liner should also be combined with CleanSpace vent covers to insulate and seal the air out.
Clean air is essential to living a healthy lifestyle and Julie C. needed a way to ensure that her family would be able to comfortably breathe in her Leslie, MI home. In an effort to create a crawl space that lacks mold, pests, and moisture, Julie contacted us at Ayers Basement Systems.
We began by installing CleanSpace liners that make sure to seal outdoor air and bacteria. Our state-of-the-art liner is engineered with an inorganic material that protects not only your basement but your family as well. CleanSpace liners are made from thick plastic that when combined without drainage matting, combat bacteria and mold from entering while allowing water to flow to the SuperSump pump.
Ayers always look out for our customers, even after we perform a project to their satisfaction. Kathy is one of these customers. After waterproofing her basement back in 2007, Kathy then noticed the wall leaning, causing a crack within the wall. Knowing that Ayers can provide PowerBraces, which can stabilize her walls and foundation, she called us right back to get them installed.
This East Lansing homeowner had a cracked foundation in the basement that had water coming in through the middle of the basement slab. We installed the WaterGuard system. This system is a drain that is installed under the floor but above the foundation so that the drain wont clog. It collects the water the comes into the basement and drains it to the sump pump to keep the basement dry.
I can't stress enough how important it is to have a sump pump that works properly and is the right one for your home. This home was having water coming in through the poured concrete walls. They had previously had another company do the work but it didn't fix the problem and that company is not out of business. We were able to install our WaterGuard system and a sump pump to do the job
The sump pump we installed is our TripleSafe pump that that is literally the king or queen of all pumps. There are 3 pumps built in the 1 liner. The first pump does all the work but the 2nd pump is there in the case the first one can't keep up. Then the third pump is battery powered in the emergency case of a power outage. The TripleSafe also comes with an alarm to alert you if it can't keep up.
The best thing about all of our pumps not just the TripleSafe, is that they come with air tight lids. This ensures that water that enters the pump doesn't evaporate back into the air and create more moisture in your crawl space or basement.
DeWayne H had a cold and damp crawl space in his basement that would have eventually cost him plenty in utility bills. A damp crawl space or basement also promotes the growth of mold and the onset of rot.
DeWayne got ahead of the curve and called us to insulate his crawl space and ensure that it was at an optimal temperature. We sealed and insulated the space with our CleanSpace Crawl Space vapor barrier system that uses a bright white crawl space liner which we installed on the walls and floors. The liner prevents water vapor and humidity from passing through from the walls and floor.
The great news is that the crawl space insulation materials that we installed in DeWayne's house are compatible with our crawl space encapsulation and drainage systems to ensure a dry, healthy, comfortable crawl space!
The homeowners in Vicksburg, MI had water coming into their home at such large amounts that in some areas of the basement the water was ankle deep. The existing sump pump they had was not able to do the job it needed to do to keep their basement dry.
Our professional team installed the TripleSafe sump pump in the homeowners basement. The TripleSafe is ideal because it gives you triple protection with three sump pumps in one. The first pump will remove the water from your home effectively. The second pump is there for you in the rare ocassions that the first pump fails. The second pump is more powerful and equipped with a seperate discharge line. Finally, the last pump is equipped with batteries so it is there for you if the power goes out.
Thanks to TripleSafe the homeowners basement is now dry.

Therefore, cold air won't be drifting around their house anymore.
We received a call from a customer in Granger, Indiana about his basement, he was experiencing wet walls so we gave him a free estimate and then decided to install WaterGuard technology among many things. The WaterGuard is the pipe that runs water underneath the floors. This system runs on top of the footing instead of alongside it. The WaterGuard has a big drain outlet to the sump. It also has a built in tiny gap between the floor and the wall so that it can drain any wall leaks. This system is designed not to clog by having holes in case of debris clogging the pipe. The WaterGuard collects the water from drains in the basement.
The homeowner in Paw Paw, MI called in and explained her situation to us. The home is set on a high water table area and regularly experiences water coming in from the floor and walls. They found about half of the floor was covered in water. It was time for Ayers to come in and solve this issue.
Our System Design Specialist reviewed the damage and offered a solution. Ayers would install a French Drain System to prevent and protect from water entering the basement, leaving it dry! Our French Drain System is installed underneath the flooring near the perimeter of the basement walls to capture any water from the floor/walls. The water that is captured is run down to the sump pump. From there, the sump pump discharge the water outside through a discharge line located outside underground.
Judy called us when she started to notice puddles in her crawl space. There had never been a problem with water until recently with heavy rain. It was coming in from one corner and pooling in low spots. We installed drainage matting and a CleanSpace Liner to waterproof her crawl space.
The drainage matting is placed directly on thr crawl space floor. It allows for the movement of water under the liner and directs it to the sump pump where the water can drain. The CleanSpace Liner is a thick durable liner that looks like a pool liner and keeps water out of your crawl space. It covers the walls and floors, preventing water vapor and humidity from entering the area. By keeping the crawl space dry, it protects the structures from mold and rot!

This system collects water that seeps into the basement and drains it to the sump pump.
A customer called our team because he wanted his crawl space completely sealed off. So we insulated his rim joists to close off the smallest cracks and seams surrounding the rim joists. Small spaces can exist around rim joists, but after insulating them, they are sealed off. Now airflow is restricted keeping outside air out and inside air in.

Our Smart Jack system adds strength and stability to the places where your home needs it most.
The Smart Jack system replaced the DIY "fix" of using wood blocks to maintain the structure of the home. In general, wood blocks are not a solution, they're a band aid that ignores the real problem.
Our process creates a solid foundation for the home to sit on. The weight of the home becomes evenly distributed, the steel beams and columns provide strength, and you no longer need to worry. For more information, check out our photo gallery on this job.
