Jeff Hammond was extremely responsive, timely, professional and proved to be very trustworthy. I would, and have, recommended Ayers to the family(mother-in-law) and friends(neighbors). AJ and his crew were also very professional and paid attention to details. All around communication was great! Ayers was not the least expensive option looked into, but I definitely feel I got what I paid for.

This Ionia howeowner called us becuase they were worried about their basement walls. There was a horizontal crack across the wall and it was starting to bow. We decided to install GeoLock Anchors to stabilize the wall. The GeoLock system is made of steel. Steel rods are extending from the wall into hard stable soil to brace the foundation. Wall anchors are installed with minimal disruption to your lawn, won't take up usable space in your basement, and is a long lasting solution to hatling movement in your walls.
Tom called us because his back porch was settling and there were some problem areas. He wanted it to be lifted up so they could use it but also so that it was safe. We injected PolyLevel Foam uner the back porch. PolyLevel is a system designed to fix concrete slabs that have sunk by using a new product to lift the concrete slabs back to their original level. The new product used is a polyurethane foam that expands and has a high density in order to raise the concrete. The process is quite simple and is done by drilling small holes into the concrete and then inserting the foam into the holes. Also, the PolyLevel system is waterproof and long-lasting.
Chris and Monica have some water issues in the north side of the basement. The area has been leaking for a couple years now and they just want to be able to have a dry space. We installed the WaterGuard system which is made up of a French drain that is installed under the floor. It is kept out of the "mud zone" by being installed under the floor but above the foundation. The WaterGuard collects water that enters the basement and sends it to the sump pump to be expelled outside of the home.
Judy called us when she started to notice puddles in her crawl space. There had never been a problem with water until recently with heavy rain. It was coming in from one corner and pooling in low spots. We installed drainage matting and a CleanSpace Liner to waterproof her crawl space.
The drainage matting is placed directly on thr crawl space floor. It allows for the movement of water under the liner and directs it to the sump pump where the water can drain. The CleanSpace Liner is a thick durable liner that looks like a pool liner and keeps water out of your crawl space. It covers the walls and floors, preventing water vapor and humidity from entering the area. By keeping the crawl space dry, it protects the structures from mold and rot!
Where the floor and wall meet in Bryttne’s basement water was intruding. She tried repairing it to prevent water intrusion, but nothing was working so she called our team. We installed TripleSafe to waterproof her basement. TripleSafe is a Sump Pump system that’s main goal is to keep your basement dry. This system provides ultimate protection because it has three pumps, including one battery powered pump. The battery powered pump will allow this system to continue to work even during power outages. Bryttne will no longer worry about her basement flooding even during extreme weather conditions.
Kyle noticed that he had water damage in his basment on the walls and on the floor. He wasn't sure where the water was coming from or what to do about it so he gave us a call to help him find a solution. We installed WaterGuard which is a French drain that is designed to be installed below the floor slab. This drain collects water that seeps through basement walls and drains it to your sump pump. We also installed the SaniDry to keep the basement dry. SaniDry has a powerful blowing motor that keeps dry air circulating throughout the space, drying out your basement or crawl space. Collected water can be drained into a sump pump pit, a section of your perimeter drain, or away via a condensation pump. This dehumidifier is super efficient and has a small size so it doesn't take up much space in your basement.
This homeowner had water coming into her crawl space and wanted that to stop. She called us for a solution to her leakage problem. We installed drainage matting to allow the flow of water under the liner so the water can get to the sump pump to drain. We then installed the CleanSpace liner, a thick durable liner similar to a pool liner, to keep water, mold, and odor out of the crawl space.
Bob rents this home to collage students in the area. The garage has a corner that has settled which has been an issue for a while but he wants it fixed before it gets any worse. We used Helical Piers to stabilize the garage. Helical Piers can have sections added to be able to reach stable soil in which the piers will anchor in. The system stabilizes the structure but also restores it to the original position. The installation is fast and can be done year round so no need to worry about the season, we can fix your settled home anytime!
Water had been entering this historic Grand Rapids, MI home through the crawl space for years. This older crawl space was covered in field stones that no doubt allowed moisture to seep in causing mold, rot and robbed the home of any heat insulation. The constant moisture also contributed to severe structural issues in this home. We installed our CleanSpace crawl space liner which is a tough 20 mil, seven-ply barrier designed to permanently keep away any moisture and cold air. It is placed over the walls and floor and creates a constant blockage to anything outside of it. We also installed a TripleSafe sump pump to keep the crawl space dry in the future.
This Grand Rapids couple had a bowing basement wall and some walls had cracks on it. They were worried about the support of the walls so they called us for a solution. We installed PowerBraces and CarbonArmor stabilize their basement walls. The PowerBrace Wall Repair System stops further movement of the wall and could potentially straighten the wall. It is made up of steel beams that are secured to the joists above the wall with steel brackets. The system does not involve any exterior excavation and installs quickly with minimal disruption. The CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcing System is great for walls that have cracking. This system consists of flexible carbon fiber straps. These straps are bonded to the walls using a high strength resin. This system stabilizes the wall, does not require exterior excavation, installs quickly, and does not impact the finishing of your basement.
This Duplex had some water issues in the basement so the property manager called us for a solution. We installed The SuperSump Plus and a feed line so the water entering the area can be discharged outside of the home. The SuperSump Plus helps to keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods of time, even in times where there is heavy rain. There is also an added battery so the sump pump will continue to pump water out of your home in the case of a power outage!
Kari noticed some water issues in her basement and moisture in the wall that was causing the paint to peel. She was not sure where the water was coming from but wanted it fixed as soon as possible. First, we installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump to provide three levels of protection in case of a pump malfunction or a power outage. Next we installed the WaterGuard system which is a French drain that collects water the seeps into the basement. The drain in installed under the floor but above the foundation so that it does not clog. The water collected is sent to the sump pump to be discharged outside the home. Lastly, we installed the Basement to Beautiful Insulated Wall Panels. The panels are made of SilverGlo insulation which is a closed-cell, graphite-infused insulation that's designed to be 24% more energy efficient than competing foam paneling.
Kari was having some water issues in her basement and was not sure where the water was coming in from but wanted a fix because the moisture was causing the paint to peel. We started by installing the TripleSafe Sump Pump System which provides the basement with three levels of protection in case of pump malfunction or a poweroutage and it gives peace of mind to the homeowner. Next we installed the WaterGuard system that is made up of a French drain under the floor but above the foundation to keep it from clogging. The WaterGuard collects water that seeps into the basement and then sends it to the sump pump to be expelled outside the home. Lastly, we installed the Basement to Beautiful Insulated Wall Panels which separates the panels from your cold, concrete walls to avoid "cold spots." The panels are made with SilverGlo insulation which is a closed-cell, graphite-infused insulation that's designed to be 24% more energy efficient than competing foam paneling.
Near the end of last year, our call center received a call from Joshua, a local homeowner in Wyoming, MI. He told us that he had a feeling the cold moist air in his crawlspace might be affecting the temperature throughout his home. Joshua also admitted that he was pondering the idea of selling his current home in the future. He knew our crawlspace work would increase the value of his home. Joshua had been seeing Ayers Basement Systems commercials on TV and knew as the local crawlspace experts we could likely provide effective solutions for his home.
After assessing Joshua’s crawlspace needs, we prescribed our patented CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system to address the cold moist air concerns below his home. The CleanSpace encapsulation product is a 20mm thick plastic lining that completely seals off the crawl space from the grim elements it faces below. To supplement the CleanSpace, additionally we installed spray foam insulation and SilverGlo wall paneling. SilverGlo panels are constructed very differently than other types of insulation. These panels contain tiny graphite particles that permeate its foam insulation, this is what gives the panel that silver shine. These tiny particles serve a functional purpose besides just looks, they reflect heat and lower the material's conductivity for superior R-value insulation. This will increase the energy efficiency of Joshua’s home and help lower his energy costs. With this dynamic system in place, it became evident that Joshua’s cranky crawlspace was no match for our level of expertise.
Sue called us to fix her crawl space because her partially finished basement was getting damp in the spring with the rain and critters had torn up some insulation. She wanted the crawl space to be sealed off to keep out the critters and keep the crawl space/house warmer and dry. We installed the CleanSpace Crawl Space Vapor Barrier. This liner looks like a pool liner but is more durable and keeps humidity and water vapor from passing through it. By keeping your crawl space dry, it also helps protect your structure and insulation from mold and rot. Using the CleanSpace liner to seal off the crawl space keeps the critters out so that the insulation is safe and the area could be used for extra storage.
Ken needed one of his foundation walls repaired because it was cracking and bowing. So our team installed PowerBrace, a foundation repair system that secures basement walls in place. This foundation repair system counteracts the outside pressures that cause your basement walls to crack or tilt by keeping your basement walls in place. Over time, the system can be tightened to not only secure the walls in place, but to also straighten them.
Kelly noticed a vertical crack in her finished basement wall and a big crack outside her home near the corner. She called becuase she wanted a solution to the cracks before they got worse and let water in. We installed Helical Piers so stabilize the home. They can be insatlled quickly and year-round. Not only can they stabilize the structure that is settling but they can also help restore the foundations to the original position.
This Zeeland homeowner called us for a solution to the crack in her basement wall where water enters the basment. We installed the WaterGuard system to get the water out of her basement. The WaterGuard is a French drain system that is installed below the floor but above the foundation slab to keep it out of the area where drains can clog. The system collects the water that seeps into the basement from the walls and drans it to the sump pump to be drained out of the house. We also installed the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep her basement even drier. Concrete walls and floors continually absorb moisture from the soil and release it into the air in your basement but the SaniDry keeps dry air circulating throughout the space, aggressively drying out your basement. The collected water can be drained to the sump pump or the WaterGuard drain.
There was a crack in Valerie's basement wall that water was entering her basement through. So our team installed the CleanSpace Basement Finishing Wall System to prevent more water intrusion. This system utilizes a poly sheet material to completely cover basement foundation walls and act as a moisture and vapor barrier. The material is waterproof, stain resistant and can be applied over many different types of surfaces. This system was perfect for Travis and put a stop to all water intrusion into his basement immediately.
Moisture and vapor were leaking into a customer's crawl space so she asked us to seal off her crawl space. We insulated her rim joists to completely close off her crawl space. Small cracks and seams can exist around rim joists, but after insulating them all of those cracks are sealed off. Now flow is restricted keeping vapor and moisture out.
A customer had heavy flooding in her basement so she called our team for help. In addition to other systems, we installed TripleSafe. TripleSafe has three pumps so that it can handle the highest pumping demands. Also, one of the pumps is battery powered so it can continue to pump water even during power outages. This customer will no longer have to worry about her basement flooding even if her electricity goes out.
Beth found a leak in her finished basement once all the snow melted in the spring and the rain saturated the ground. We went to have a look and had the perfect solution to keep water out of the basement. We installed the EverLast Basement Window. These windows are designed to replace rotting, outdated steel and wood framed basement windows. They are properly fitted to prevent leaks, have a clean finished appearance, energy efficient, and they help to add natural light to your space!
Steve just bought a house and was going to fix it up himself but he was concerned about the structural issues. He wanted the issues to be fixed and to give him peace of mind that the house was stable. We installed Helical Piers because they are great for stabilizing and restoring foundations. These piers have fast, year-round istallation so you never have to worry that your home can't get fixed due to the season. The piers can even help lift the foundation back to the original positiion.
Joann needed some repair to her concrete slabs in her garage. The slabs were cracking and encountering some settlement issues so our team installed PolyLevel.
Amy was encountering many different issues in her basement, especially bowing walls. Therefore, she called our team to help her turn her basement into a liveable and safe space. In order to stabilize the walls our team installed CarbonArmor, a wall reinforcing system. CarbonArmor fixes damaged or bowing walls which are both very serious problems and can cause even more serious problems if they aren't fixed properly. CarbonArmor prevents the inward movement of your walls and reduces their cracks. In addition, this system can easily be concealed in order to give your basement a finished, sleek look, making it perfect for Amy.
Kevin noticed various foundational issues in his home. Mostly part of his flooring was sinking and so he contacted our team. We installed SmartJack, a system produced to halt your sagging floors. Floors above crawl spaces are vulnerable due to the moisture and soils in your crawl space. The SmartJack system is a permanent fix to these issues. It uses steel columns, threaded rods and a solid base to address any issues your crawl space may introduce to your floors. Installing this system usually takes less than a day and it provides immediate stabilization.
