The homeowner had water seeping through the concrete floor and coming through where the wall meets the floor. Their existing sump pump could not handle all the water that was coming in so they had to find another solution!
Our professional team saw this problem and found the perfect solution! We installed WaterGuard long-lasting interior perimeter drainage system. The drainage system sits on top of the footing in the basement so no mud gets in and clogs the system. WaterGuard effectively captures wall and floor seepage before it reaches your basement floor. The drainage system traps the water and sends it to the sump pump. The sump pump then effectively removes the water from your basement. WaterGuard will keep your basement clean and dry so you can use the space for storage, recreational purposes, or to finish for additional living space.

Some sump pump manufacturers will sell you their sump pump by saying that you get free replacements or a lifetime warranty but how true is that? But think about it, how will you know when your pump needs to be replaced? Probably once it has already flooded your entire basement which is what we're trying to prevent. So basically your lifetime warranty of free replacements are going to be no help.
We have the best pumps on the market. There is literally a pump to suit everyones basement needs. The SuperSump installed here comes with an airtight lid to prevent water from evaporating back into your basement and to prevent unwanted debris from clogging your pump. There is also a pump stand to elevate the pump above the sump liner a little bit so no clogging and keep everything clean. The best part too is that it comes equipped with a pump alarm to alert you if its failing or your basement is in danger of being flooded.
It's pretty obvious that you have to have a way for your gutters to drain water away from your house. However, most discharge lines are bulky, not very appealing and can be a pain to mow around and can even be a tripping hazard. We have the perfect solution to this. The LawnScape outlet work great if you want to bury those unwanted discharge lines. This works well even if you have virutally no pitch. It's designed so it won't clog and it's barely noticable in your yard, which is a win in our book.
Elizabeth K. contacted us because they wanted to take a small window in their basement and remove it to install a large egress window. This home was built in the 90's when egress windows weren't required but now you must have one in every room in the basement that is liveable. The window must also be large enough for a person to escape in case of an emergency. We were able to remove the small window and install this large 4' X 4' egress in this basement so now the family can be relieved knowing that there is an escape route in case ever needed.
Our Customer Elizabeth K. wanted to replace her submarine like basement window. Unfortunately, customers often don’t realize that basement companies should be installing any basement windows. Ayers has the knowledge and expertise to make sure your windows are secured and sealed and will not allow water to leak into your home. In addition, egress windows allow for an additional exit out of your basement, that you can actually fit through, in the case of an emergency.
A basement in South Bend, IN was in need of some waterproofing. Heavy rains caused the home, built in 1942, to leak water in. The sump pump that was already there just couldn't handle the water.
Our professional team had the perfect solution. In the before picture you see the original sump pump. It wasn't doing the job that needed to be done for this basement. In the after picture, we replaced the old, broken sump pump with one of our Triple Safe sump pumps. The Triple Safe sump pump has three sump pumps in one. The first pump will do most of the pumping effectively. The second sump pump will be there in case the first one fails. The second pump is more powerful and has a separate discharge line to give you a boost in the rare cases you need it. The third pump is designed using batteries so it will be there for you if the power goes out. The Triple Safe sump pump is the best option because it adjusts automatically when needed and keeps your basement dry with triple protection!
A customer in South Bend, Indiana called us about her basement wall that was bowing. She was scared and wanted our help, so we drove to her property and gave her a free estimate. After analyzing the situation, we decided the best route to save her basement wall from collapsing would be to use our PowerBrace system. PowerBrace is an adjustable vertical beam used to help correct uneven foundation. The PowerBrace is placed up against the walls. Foreman will come in and tighten them over time in homes. The Power Brace is much better than I-Beam styles because it continuously improves the wall. Now that this homeowner has PowerBraces installed in their home, they won't have to worry any longer.
Tamara's basement in South Bend, IN had water seeping in, and she had already gone through so many troubles trying to fix the issue, to the point where she had multiple fans running at the same time to try and dry everything up. Luckily for Tamara, we have the CleanSpace system. CleanSpace is a 20 mil plastic liner designed to permanently prevent moisture, outside air and pests from getting into your basement and/or crawl space. Thanks to CleanSpace, Tamara will no longer have to worry about the moisture problem in her basement that had been haunting her for quite some time.
The basement foundation was clearly leaning and unstable in the before photo. The homeowners were advised to completely rebuild the wall, but we provided them with a much less drastic, but equally as effective solution: Shotcrete. This concrete is sprayed through a high pressure hose, and reconstructs the wall. Less invasive than completely replacing the foundation, Shotcrete does a great job at supporting and restructuring this basement wall.
Matthew R. contacted us because his basement wall was beginning to bow inward. The basement is the foundation of your home and when it falls your entire home could fall with it. As soon as you see something like this happening its best to call in the professionals right away. Some signs to first look out for are stair step cracks, this is a way to tell right away that your wall is leaning.
Matthew's wall was not bowing in at the top or the bottom but just the center which is why our Carbon Fiber Straps were the best fix to this problem. These straps are held on by an epoxy glue. Carbon fiber is a very strong material that is impossible to stretch which is why it is great for making sure walls dont bow in any further. These straps will not straighten a wall but they will ensure the wall doesn't move anymore.
Walls closing in around a person sounds like a scene from a scary movie, but it’s even scarier when it’s a reality. As the soil around the foundation changes and expands, it can exert a pressure on the walls, causing them to bow, as seen in this before photo. Luckily, we have a solution for that. PowerBraces are designed to stabilize basement walls and straighten them over time. The zinc coated beams are attached to the floor joists, and can be tightened by our team to help improve the condition of the wall. Now these homeowners can have peace of mind that the only way these walls are moving are back to their original position.
