Servicing Your Basement Waterproofing System

At Ayers Basement Systems, we recommend annual service and maintenance of your waterproofing system. During your service visit, our technician will perform the following services:

1. Test & Clean Your Sump Pump System: Your sump pump consists of many moving parts that can wear down in a year. A service technician will check your sump pump's float switch intake for any possible problems. Next, the technician will clean and check the intake valve and impeller to make sure they are functioning properly.
   
   The service technician will also clean the sump pump liner of any sediment or silt that may be present. This step is very important because it will keep the liner from building up sediment and potentially clogging check valves, etc.
2. Test & Replace Batteries: It is crucial that the battery in your WaterWatch® Sump Pump Alarm is replaced once a year. The service technician will also test the battery for your backup sump pump to make sure it's holding a proper charge.
3. Service Your Dehumidifier: Your SaniDry™ dehumidifier contains two filters, a pre-filter and an air filter. These need to cleaned or replaced. The SaniDry™ will also be oiled and parts inside will be inspected.
4. Check the Discharge Line: We will check the discharge line to check that the water is freely moving through the discharge line as well as the potential for freezing.
5. Maintain Your Crawl Space Liner: If you've repaired and sealed your crawlspace, we will check the CleanSpace® liner and any other components installed in your crawl space.
6. Check For Problems & Suggest Upgrades: If our service technician sees signs of newly emerging problems they can suggest and/or implement solutions that will address these issues proactively. We're always expanding our product line to help keep your basement or crawl space dry!
